Detailed Itinerary

This Chucuito Kayak Adventure departs at 7:o0 am with an early transfer from your Puno hotel to main port, which will take about 15 minutes. You then board a motorboat to reach to Peninsula of Chucuito, and navigation takes 2 hours approximately.

Luquina is home of the ancestral Aymaran community, lucky people living in this unique nature wonder. Upon your arrival at Luquina guide provides elemental kayak instructions, we then set up and start kayaking as the sun clears the day. Paddle from Luquina to Karina exploring the surroundings under a blue sky is a great way to combine the Lake Titicaca coastline paddling and take advantage of the calm waters, cool lake breeze, and the snowcapped peaks of Bolivia’s Cordillera Real Range that takes out along the way. Around middle day have lunch at a local tourist restaurant, rest for a while and take the motorboat to go back Puno.

Then, when we’re near to Puno port, we will get a chance to experience the encountering with the friendly Uros people stepping on one of their reed floating islands. Your guide makes you live amazing moments introducing Uros life, history, islands building techniques, and much more about local legends. Visit inside their houses entirely made of reed or Totora (locally named), have time for taking pictures also you can take a ride on a traditional reed boat as an extra activity on your Kayak Trip (optional)
