Day 1: La Paz to Sun Island
7:00 AM you’ll meet up with your private English speaking tour guide (Omar) and personal driver (Abel) at your hotel in La Paz then depart to Copacabana passing through El Alto town (popular for its traffic jam, the reason why you’ll depart early).
However you’ll drive through a series of interesting scenic villages and communities on a peculiar landscape in the Bolivian High Andes.

8:00 AM after an early breakfast, your day trip begins with the visit of the Isla de la Luna (Moon Island). After almost one hour of boat navigation from Isla del Sol to Isla de la Luna through the endless blue horizon, you’ll get to the temple of the Virgins, appreciate their natural and cultural wonders as you ascend the summit, you’ll gain breathtaking views of the Cordillera de los Andes.
11:00 AM then after you’ll be navigating back to Copacabana, upon arrival have lunch, later visit the Main Plaza, local market and the shrine and the Dark Indian Virgin of Copacabana.
1:30 PM you’ll be leaving Copacabana for Puno (Peru). The land transfer from Copacabana to Kasani only takes 15 minutes.
NOTE: You might be driven on a small auto (by our friendly drivers Denis or Carlos), a different vehicle from the first day, but escorted by the same guide. Type of vehicle is provided based on the number of participants/travellers.
2:00 PM at Kasani borderline your guide will assist you with the border crossing and introduce you to your new Peruvian driver.
Your friendly and accommodating Peruvian driver will take you to Puno on an almost 3 hour drive to Puno city with an optional stop at Pomata Lookout.
4:00 PM (Peruvian time while in Bolivia is 5 pm) it’s the estimated arrival time and hotel drop-off time in Puno.
