Early in the morning depart by kayak from Puno launch point to Uros reed islands.
Our motor boat takes us from Uros to Llachon for 2 hours. Then paddle about 2h15min from Llachon to Amantani Island, after this physical effort and after we’ve gained unique views we’ll have a very well deserved lunch in Amantani.
In the afternoon, our motor boat is taking us back to Uros Islands for a final paddle to Puno, arriving to Puno for the sunset.

Where you’ll begin kayaking
Kayak through the water way to reed Islands from Puno bay on Lake Titicaca National Reserve. Navigate by boat to Llachon shoreline where from we’re paddling again towards Amantani Island surrounded with such beautiful landscapes, crystal, clear and pure water (open lake).
Where you’ll have lunch
After we’ve reached to Amantani we’ll have lunch at Henry and Mary Luz Lodge, we’ll walk up to their Restaurant or other similar nearby.

Fantastic Day
Edison is a great guide. Spent the day on a kayak in Lake Titicaca. Avoided the crowds and got a really personal tour. Afterwards, Edison arranged another tour for me for the next day.
Tour Overview
- 7:00 am Pick-up and transfer from your hotel to Uros Kalapajra pier (15 min).
- 7.20 am Start to paddle to Uros through the maze of reeds.
- 8.00 am Arrival to Uros and kayaks are lifted on the boat. We’re navigating by motor boat to Llachon.
- 10:00 am Arrival to Jesus local port and beginning of the kayak activity. Your guide and boat man sets up the kayaks while you have a short walk on the Lake shore.
- 10:15 am We'll paddle toward the Island of Amantani.
- 12.25 am We'll get to Amantani Lodge local port while your guide stores the kayaks, you are led by the family to walk up to the Restaurant.
- 12.40 pm Have lunch at Henry and Mary Luz's restaurant (after 15 min hiking).
- 1:50 pm Time to depart by motor boat from Amantani to Uros Islands.
- 4:30 pm we’ll be back again in Uros, this time we’re visiting one floating Island.
- 4.50 pm after Uros kayak explore we continue paddling to Puno port, which is 45 min more to Uros Kalapajra pier (or get back to Puno port by motor boat)
- 5:15 pm Arrival to Puno harbor/Local port if we take the motor boat.
- 5:45 pm Arrival by kayaks to Uros Kalapajraa pier, if we return by paddling, we'll have unique sunset view opportunities over Puno city.
- 5.50 pm Pick-up from arrival kayak port and land transfer to your downtown hotel.

Transfer to Uros Kalapajra pier launch point
Our driver comes for you at your hotel. The pick-up time suggested is at 7. 00 am, so we hope you'll have enough time for breakfast.
There is 15 minutes driving to Kalapajra port from your hotel (hotels in downtown).
Here at the port our kayaks will be ready to get in.

worries, we'll come for you, pick-up time is going to be at 8:15 am.
Arrival to Uros by kayaks
We’re kayaking to Uros for almost 45 minutes from Puno shore. On the water way beautiful landscape is appreciated and contemplated. We’re heading to the Adventist Island, lift the kayaks on the boat roof and leave to Llachon.
Get to Llachon by boat
We'll depart by motor boat towards Llachon which takes 2 hours navigating.
On the way to peninsula of Capachica we'll be able to appreciate unique high Plateau landscapes. In front of us is Taquile Island the third largest Islands on Lake Titicaca.
Boat arrival to Llachon
Once the motor boat has arrived at Llachon coastline, from this point we can already see further the Island of Taquile and Chucuito peninsula. We'll be arriving to Jesus local port.
You then set up for Llachon Titicaca Kayaking to Amantani.
Paddle to Uros islands, step on it and then take the slow group boat to Amantani instead of booking “Llachon to Amantani Kayak + Uros Paddle” private tour. Have lunch, hike and return to Puno Port.
The private guide is going to provide the safety briefing and kayak paddling lessons, if you didn't kayak before.
Kayak from Llachon to Amantani
You kayak for around 2 hours from Llachon to Amantani Island while you're paddling enjoy local farming, fishing scenes along the side and we'll appreciate Taquile Island and the snowy mountain in Bolivia far away; if you love kayaking then it is worth doing.
Lunch in Amantani Lodge
When kayak paddling finishes you walk up toward Henry and Mary Luz’s restaurant for local homemade lunch.
The duration of the walking is 15 min.
The set menu is based on Quinoa soup, grilled Trout and Coca leaves or Andean mint tea. Vegetarian food can be prepared upon request.
Direct boat navigation from Amantani to Uros Islands
After this local encounter we'll be heading back to Uros Islands on the way back to Puno city.
This afternoon with plenty of time we’ll visit inside the reed house. On this visit you’ll be explained about the building of the islands.
Then after, it’s up to you to enter again in your kayak and back to Puno by paddling.
Although, in the afternoon, it seems less crowded, so we'll enjoy better how this population still keep their ancient way of living on self-fashioned reed homes.
If you paddle again from Uros to Puno
We can keep paddling and enjoying breathtaking sunset views from our kayaks when approaching Puno city.
Or take the motor boat to back to Puno in just 25 minutes.
After a combined day tour on Lake Titicaca, Llachon kayak, Uros kayak exploring and great memories this service ends in the late afternoon.
