Puno/La Paz via Copacabana by Titicaca Bolivia Bus

By far, the first most popular way to go from Puno to La Paz is via Kasani border then to Copacabana. Although this way involves switch of Buses in Copacabana but that gives you chance to know a little bit more of the town.

The Titicaca Bolivia bus company is leaving Puno via Copacabana for La Paz at 7:30 am; pick-up time from your hotel is at 6:45 am then quick transfer to Puno bus terminal.

After 3 hours you get to Kasani borderline between Peru and Bolivia. Spend some 40 minutes for passport, Andean Migration Card and Tourist Visa (required only for some specific countries) checking, and then continue to Copacabana by the same bus company.

On arrival at Copacabana one hour stop to switch buses and take your time for a quick snack/lunch or just walk around. At 1:00 pm a different Bolivian tourist bus is leaving Copacabana to La Paz, crossing of the Straits of Tiquina by ferry for the bus while passengers do same by little motor boats (not included).  Take the bus in the other side to keep going La Paz city arriving at 17.00 hrs. (Bolivian time). On arrival you’re transferred to your downtown hotel.
