We think this first day you can paddle from Puno to Amantani island about 28 km + This distance paddling (28 km +) can take you some 6 to 7 hours with stops of 5 to 10 min.

From Puno to Llachon is about 3 hours 30 min and from there to Amantani island is about 1 hour 50 min (Incatiana community)

Amantani island map.jpg

We suggest you to spend the night at Amantani Lodge hosted by Henry and Maryluz (we very often visit their house when we do our 2-day Amantani Homestay + Titicaca kayak experience).

Amantani where to stay.jpg

Bring cash for your staying on Amantani island: S/. 70 to 80 soles for accommodation (private bathroom), lunch, dinner and breakfast next day. This extra amount is not included which sould be paid in person but we can reserve it for you.

But we had clients that preferred to bring their own. There is nice place where to camp on Amantani shores.

Feel free to choose the places you want to reach by your single or double seater kayak, this may be a long distance paddling from Puno to Llachon or anywhere on Lake Titicaca, including local homestay.

Leaving at 7 am from Puno, you arrive at 2 or 3 pm to Amantani Island just on time for lunch and watching the sunset from Amantani highest summit: Pacha Mama temple. There is the possibilty to do hiking to Pacha Mama temple in the late afternoon or just rest at Henry's home (or another house).
