You’re leaving La Paz early in the morning, a brief visit of Copacabana and then head to Sicuani local pier.
Navigate to Sun Island upon arrival have lunch overlooking the Lake. Guided tour of the main attractions. Later return by the same way and travel to Puno city via Kasani border.
Schedule of Departure and Arrival Times
8:00 am pick-up from La Paz hotel and drive to Tiquina then to Copacabana.
9:45 am cross by small local ferries the Strait of Tiquina (payment is done in person: $ 2)
10:45 am Arrival to Copacabana town following that we’ll keep driving to Sicuani pier.
11:10 pm arrival to Sicuani community in the Peninsula of Copacabana and we’re taking the local small covered motor boat to go Isla del Sol.
12:00 pm Arrival to the Southern tip of Isla del Sol for lunch (it can be provided in Copacabana as well).
1:15 pm Guided tour of the first Incan temple ever built on Lake Titicaca visit of Pilcocaina and walk along its path to Fountain of eternal youth, the Inca grand stairs, etc in Yumani community.
2:45 pm take the boat again and return to Sicuani.
3:05 pm upon arrival to local Sicuani pier take the same vehicle and drive to Copacabana.
La Paz to Puno private drive with guided stop and lunch at the archaeological site of Tiwanaku and Desaguadero border cross.
3:30 pm At Copacabana a quick visit of this picturesque and traditional place before heading to Kasani border. You’ll visit local market, Church and Main Plaza.
4:15 pm Arrival to Kasani border and documentation at both Bolivia and Peru migration offices. Meet your Peruvian driver.
4:00 pm (Peruvian time) depart from Kasani to Puno. This ride will take 2 hours and 30 minutes. On the way two photo stops are offered at Pomata lookout and Aramu Muru Stone Doorway.
6:30 pm arrival to your hotel in Puno (Peruvian time).
