What You’ll Do
Meet your guide at your hotel and head to the witch’s market by a private transport and explore on foot its traditional ofrendas, Calle Jaen, San Francisco church and Plaza Murillo.
Then ride the cable car to get a magnificent view of the city and surroundings. Finally, take your private car to go to Valley of the Moon for a stunning view of the place. At the end of the trip you’ll be dropped at your hotel.
Your Tour Itinerary
9:00 am – Witches Market
You’ll be picked you up from your hotel in La Paz to start the city tour. The Witches Market of full of all kinds of curious items and practitioners of magic. It begins at the “Witches market” where you will find traditional and alternative remedies as well as ofrendas to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth).
San Francisco Church
This time, it’s the colonial Church of San Francisco. Take a moment to appreciate both the architecture and the culture, especially when you contemplate how Bolivia successfully makes room for both pagan and ‘more traditional’ religious offerings. Then, visit the nearby craft shops of Sagarnaga Street.
We continue visiting the exteriors of the San Francisco Basilica, the most representative religious temple of the Baroque Mestizo style in Bolivia and then we address ourselves to Murillo Square, in its surroundings there are: the Presidential Palace, the headquarters of the Congress of the Republic and the Cathedral, later we will visit a museum at the Jaen Street, a small beautiful patrimonial street which is a reflex of the colonial past of the city.
Murillo Square
Enjoy more of the city’s architecture when the next leg of your tour takes you to Murillo Square. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the Metropolitan Cathedral, Government Palace, and Parliament Buildings. After that, you’ll visit the colonial neighborhood of Jaen Street — home to a collection of fascinating museums. You’ll then make your way to the replica of the semi-subterranean Tiwanaku Culture temple.

Our next stop is a panoramic viewpoint from there you will have a great view of La Paz city. Finally we go to the south part of the city to get to the Moon Valley, a natural area formed due to the erosion and clay composition of the soil, wind and rain have created a valley filled with stalagmites.
Cable car
You’ll do the cable car route accompanied with your guide and you’ll truly enjoy it.
Valley of the Moon
Finally, your tour concludes at the Valley of the Moon. Stretch your legs on a short hike then return to hotel.
