Based on your request, you’ll be picked up at your hotel in La Paz or at El Alto airport (if you’re arriving by plane from Uyuni) by your driver and then drive to Desaguadero border on a 2-hour 45-minute carried through the chaotic crowded streets of El Alto town.
Just tell us when you’d like to be picked up at your address and our friendly driver will show up at your place on time. We’ll share his name the day before of the transfer.
SIGHTSEEING STOPS
If you’d like to stop off along the route then we recommend you to stop at: Pomata lookout and/or Aramu Muru Doorway (S/5 pp). Just let us know at the moment of booking then we’ll advise your driver to stop at the requested places.
DESAGUADERO BORDER
On arrival at Desaguadero border, you will switch vehicles and you might walk for a few minutes until you reach the Bolivian immigration office accompanied by your driver.
Your Bolivian driver will introduce you to your new Peruvian driver, who will be waiting for you at the immigration office.
If you’re not going to come back to Bolivia then you can exchange all your Bolivian pesos into Peruvian currency.
Your driver is going to assist you across the immigration offices.
The border crossing time usually takes from 30 minutes up to 60 minutes if there isn’t crowd.
DESAGUADERO TO TITILAKA
Once you’ve got your entry stamp on your passport, your driver will walk you to the location of the new vehicle.
You’ll drive from Desaguadero to Titilaka for about 2 hour 30 minute. Titilaka hotel is located 25 minute dust road drive from the main highway, on the shore of Lake Titicaca.
