LA PAZ HOTEL PICK-UP

Based on your request, our driver will pick you up at your selected La Paz hotel or at El Alto airport (if you’re flying from Uyuni or any other) and then you’ll be transferred to Desaguadero border on a 2-hour 45-minute drive.
Just tell us when you’d like to be picked up at your address and our friendly driver will show up at your place on time. Additionally we’ll share his name the day before of the transfer.
DESAGUADERO BORDER
On arrival at Desaguadero border, you will switch vehicles and you might walk for a few minutes until you reach the Bolivian immigration office accompanied by your Bolivian driver.
Your Bolivian driver will introduce you to your new Peruvian driver, who is waiting for you at the Peruvian immigration office.
If you’re not going to come back to Bolivia then you can exchange your Bolivian currency into Peruvian soles in front of the Peru office.
Your Bolivian or Peruvian driver is going to assist you across the immigration offices. The border crossing usually takes from 30 minutes up to 60 minutes if there isn’t crowd or if you travel during local market days (Tuesday and Friday).
DESAGUADERO TO PUNO
Once you’ve got your exit stamp in Bolivia and entry stamp in Peru on your passport, your new driver will walk you to the location of the new vehicle.
You’ll drive from Desaguadero to Puno for about 2 hour 30 minute.
SIGHTSEEING STOP
If you’d like to stop off along the route then we recommend you to stop at: Pomata lookout, Aramu Muru Doorway (S/5 pp) and/or Chucuito Temple of fertility (S/7 pp).
Just let us know at the moment of booking then we’ll advise your driver to stop at the requested places.
DROP-OFF
Your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Puno city or at Kalapajra pier (if you’re staying on a floating reed lodge).
