COPACABANA PICK-UP

Based on your request, you’ll be picked up at your selected Copacabana hotel or at Copacabana port (if you’re arriving from Isla del Sol) by your Bolivian driver and then get transferred to Kasani border on a 15-minute drive.
Just tell us when you’d like to be picked up at your address and our friendly driver will show up at your place on time. We’ll share his name the day before of the transfer.
KASANI BORDER
On arrival at Kasani border, you’ll switch vehicles and your Bolivian driver is going to introduce you to your new Peruvian driver at the Peruvian side.
Once you’ve got your exit stamp on your passport, your driver will walk you to the Peruvian side for about 5 minutes.
The border crossing usually takes from 30 minutes up to 60 minutes if there isn’t crowd or if you’re not traveling in local festivity dates.
If you’re not going to come back to Bolivia then you can exchange your Bolivian pesos into Peruvian soles at the exchange house located in front of the Peruvian immigration office.
SIGHTSEEING STOPS
On the way from Kasani to Puno two or three photo stops are offered to fresh and make the car ride more enjoyable.
If you’d like to stop off along the route then you could stop at: Pomata Lookout, Aramu Muru (S/5 pp) and Chucuito Temple of fertility (S/7 pp).
Just let us know at the moment of booking then we’ll advise your driver to stop at the requested places.
Pomata Lookout (45 minutes from Kasani border), the high pass between Puno and Kasani ideal to enjoy and admire how huge is the Lake and magnificent views to the Island of the Sun and snow peaks.
Aramu Muru (1 hour 20 min from Puno), see and marvel the low relieve stone carving and strange huge portal facing to east. Entrance fee should be paid in person at the site, S/5 soles per person.
Chucuito Temple of Fertility (25 minutes from Puno), it’s the first Incan temple ever built dedicated to the fertility with mushroom like shapes. S/7 soles per person.
PUNO DROP-OFF
On arrival in Puno city, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in downtown or at Kalapajra pier (if you’re staying on a reed floating lodge).
