Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world, is home to the majestic Condors and is steeped in pre-Incan history.
As for the Condors, a wingspan of over 3m makes these beauties one of the largest flying birds in the world. The Andean Condors soar the wind streams of the Colca Canyon and this is one of the best places to see the birds in their natural habitat.
On the way from Arequipa to Cabanaconde you could even stop for watching the Condors flying over the Colca Canyon.
