4:00 AM – Departure from Uyuni

Your friendly driver will meet you at your Uyuni hotel to begin the journey. We provide the driver’s name and contact details the day before your trip for a seamless start.

Journey into the Altiplano, depart Uyuni and head toward the Hito Cajón border. You will traverse the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, a region famous for its otherworldly, ethereal landscapes.

Stone Tree (Árbol de Piedra)

Some countries and nationalities require getting Tourist Visa to enter Chile, make sure if you need one.

NOTE:

The Bolivian immigration office usually closes before the late afternoon that is why it is very important to arrive by middle day and your departure from Uyuni should be early if you want to spend some extra minutes along the way at the sites.

From the Bolivia Chile borderline to San Pedro de Atacama you’ll drive by a paved road and stop at custom and passport control offices. By the afternoon you’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Atacama or at the Main Square.
