What You’ll Do
Sillustani Cultural Tour begins with the pick-up by your guide and driver at your hotel in Puno city. Then you’ll head to the archaeological site of Sillustani where you meet a local family for the activities.
On arrival you’ll herd the Llamas, then take a wooden boat for sailing across its water, your guide leads you through the ancient funeral towers and then after have lunch in a local typical house.

Meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Puno and head directly to Sillustani peninsula on a 45-minute car drive through the most fascinating high plateau landscape.
Upon arrival you’ll visit a local family’s house and help them herding their Llamas or Alpacas through the scenic landscape.
Then after, descend down to the Umayu lagoon shoreline where you meet a fisherman and gently ride across the serene waters of the lagoon.

On arrival at the Sillustani peninsula, the land of the Colla Kingdome, you’ll hike through the ancient trail and sacred grounds carefully chosen for their spiritual significance.
Along the route you’ll find several towers locally named “Chullpas” which were used as tombs, inside were buried the Mallku, the king of Colla Kingdome that flourished before the Inca Empire arrival that had especial beliefs in the afterlife.
The panoramic views of the Andean mountains, the mystery of the ancient resting place and the serene Umayo Lagoon all together combined will leave you in awe.
Following that, take a moment to share a traditional lunch at a local family’s house.
