Puno Kayak Tour is an off the beaten path kayak experience, covering 6 km paddling distance from South Puno to Isla Esteves with a stop off at the floating Islands of the Uros people. Encounter with the locals and have the chance to ride a typical reed boat.

Kayaking at Uros
What You’ll Do
Transfer from your hotel to Chimu dock. Gently glide your kayak across the endless Lake and beautiful spots of Lake Titicaca National Reserve. It’s a 70 minute paddling towards Uros Islands.
On arrival at the Uros floating Islands, learn clue insights from your guide about the process of building the islands. You’ll head back to Puno city through a different water way.
Your Tour Itinerary
8:30 am Hotel to kayak launching point

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Puno city and transferred to the Chimu kayak launching place on a 20-minute car ride.
On arrival meet your kayak guide, and after a brief elemental paddling lessons you’ll be ready to paddle right away.
9:00 am Kayaking to Uros floating Islands
You’ll gently paddle from across the endless blue horizon side of Lake Titicaca National Reserve with views of the peninsulas, marshes of reeds and local birds along the way.
On arrival your guide teaches you about the process of building the floating Islands, the meaning of their embroideries and traditional reed boat’s history.
You’ll have the chance to interact with the members of the family to learn a little more about their way of life.
11:00 am Go back to your Puno hotel

Following this unique experience kayaking on the highest navigable lake you’ll make your way back to Puno through the same or end in a different place because of the suggestion of your experienced guide.
You’ll be picked up again by your driver from the disembarking place and returned to your hotel.
