What You’ll Do
Day 1: You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Puno and transferred to Llachon for cycling and overnight in a typical house.
Day 2: After an early breakfast, head to Taquile Island by kayak. On arrival hike and have lunch then after go back to Puno by boat with stop at Uros Islands.

Day 1: Puno to Llachon
8:30 am – Hotel to starting place car transfer

Your amazing biking experience in Lake Titicaca begins with the pick-up from your hotel in Puno city and transfer to the peninsula of Capachica, the starting place.
The driver and your bike guide come to your hotel bringing the cycling equipment and gear.
9:15 am – Huata community to Llachon bike cycling
On arrival at Huata community road side, the beginning of the paved road to Llachon, situated on the main road from Puno to Juliaca airport, quick instructions and lesson about how to ride behind your guide (he’ll act as your domestique).
After a brief introduction of what you’ll do during this special day, you start pedaling. First 3 kilometers will be to warm up and find your rhythm. Let your guide pedal in front of you then you will save more energy to get until the finish line (Llachon).
On the way you’ll take in sight some local farm houses, animals, crop fields and after pedaling almost 2 hours we are going to reach the shore of Lake Titicaca.
First break will be at Coata community and the second break is at Capachica town.
After the last break you’ll keep cycling at your own pace following your guide. A long the way to Llachon road condition is really good and you’ll face up and down hills.
If you consider cycling + 20 km is too much then your biking experience can start from Capachica to Llachon. It is situated 1 hour and 20 minutes by bike and is the best part of the ride.
12.30 pm – Lunch in a local family house

At this time you and your guide will be approaching the finish line. Then after, you head to Valentin’s house (Casa de Valentin or another family available) for a well-deserved rehydrating drink, recovering rest and typical lunch based on Lake Titicaca trout and crops.
There will be plenty of time to explore the place and meet the local people. You’ll learn about their textiles and herb uses.

Day 2: Taquile to Uros
9:00 am – Kayaking from Llachon to Taquile Island

After the breakfast provided by the local family, you’ll be heading from Llachon shoreline to Taquile Island on a 2 hour 30 minute kayaking.
Your guide and boatman will set up your kayak gear and equipment. Be ready to paddle on the open highest navigable lake in the world. You’ll be hitting the blue horizon and have great views of Taquile Island, Chucuito peninsula and Amantani Islands on the way.
You’ll disembark at the local North tip of Taquile Island, hike up for about 45 minutes to its Main Square through the stone paved trail.
The set menu is based on Quinua soup, grilled Trout or vegetable omelet with white rice and hot drinks.
You’ll make your way down to the port through the stone stairs.
2:00 pm – Taquile to Uros Islands

Onboard the covered section motorboat and rnavigate to Uros Islands on a 2-hour 45-minute ride. You’ll disembark at one of the reed floating Islands to get in your kayak and start paddling on the way back to Puno shoreline.
This will easily become in one of your best experiences as you’ll be kayaking at the sunset time in Lake Titicaca.
Your enthusiastic kayak tour guide leads you through the waterway. You might find yourself kayaking at the time sun sets over the Lake and Puno’s Mountains.
Your 2 day bike and kayak tour in Lake Titicaca ends at Isla Esteves dock. You’ll be picked up by your driver and transferred to your hotel on a 15-minute car ride.
