At the scheduled time (7:50 am or 9:05 am), you’ll be picked up at the Juliaca Manco Capac Airport and transferred to Puno port by your friendly driver on a 1-hour ride by a private comfortable vehicle.
The floating Islands of Uros people on Lake Titicaca are an ancient art engineering dating back from before the Incas, located 4 km away from Puno city.
They are the only real floating islands, built out of reed and root, found in the highest navigable Lake of the world.

On arrival at the Puno port, you’ll meet your private English speaking tour guide. Then onboard a private covered section motor boat to navigate to Southern or Northern Uros reed floating Islands for about 30 minutes, on the way your guide delivers some clue information about Lake Titicaca facts and the history of the pre-Columbian civilizations.

On arrival at the floating Islands, you’ll disembark at a local family’s reed house. You’ll visit the non-touristy side of the floating Islands, a less commercial place with stunning scenery.
The friendly family will perform how the reeds are cut, how the Islands are built just using Totora reed and root. The local family will later show us how they tie the bundle of fresh green reeds.
While you gently ride a typical reed boat across the blue horizon, a gorgeous scenery and landscape displays to watch the local birds and learn more about them.
You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. Believe us this remote place is peaceful in the vastness of the lake.

Following the local activity, you’ll navigate through the set of almost 100 reed islands by motorboat.
A long the way we’ll make an optional stop at the “commercial Capital” Island to get stamped on our passports the map of the lake for S/ 1 PEN.
The lunch place is mostly located in the Northern side of the floating village. You’ll have grilled Trout or chicken, Quinoa or rice, vegetables and hot drink.
By the afternoon you’ll be on your way back to Puno port and transferred to Juliaca airport.
