Based on your request, you’ll be picked up at La Paz hotel, El Alto airport or at the Uyuni bus station by your driver and then get transferred to Desaguadero border on a 2 hour 45 minute drive.

SIGHTSEEING STOPS
On the way from Desaguadero to Puno two or four photo stops are offered to fresh and make the car ride more enjoyable.
If you’d like to stop off along the route then you could stop at: Pomata Lookout, Aramu Muru (S/5 pp), Chucuito Temple of fertility (S/7 pp) and Uros Floating Islands Tour ($35 pp).
Pomata Lookout, the high pass between Puno and Kasani ideal to enjoy and admire how huge is the Lake and magnificent views to the Island of the Sun and snow peaks.
Aramu Muru (1 hour 20 min from Puno), see and marvel the low relieve stone carving and strange huge portal facing to east. Entrance fee should be paid in person at the site, S/5 soles per person.
Chucuito Temple of Fertility (25 minutes from Puno), it’s the first Incan temple ever built dedicated to the fertility with mushroom like shapes. S/7 soles per person.
Uros Islands, the man-made floating islets are created by stacking layers upon layers of Totora roots and reeds. This water-resistant plant grows in the lake and is the lifeblood of the Uros community: it is used to make boats, houses, roofs, mattresses and more. The plant is also eaten (playfully called the “lake banana”) and applied as medicine, and its flowers are used to make tea.
