Based on your request, you’ll be picked up at your selected La Paz hotel or El Alto airport (if you’re arriving by plane) by your friendly driver and then get transferred to Lake Titicaca Copacabana on a 3-hour 30-minute car ride with optional photo stops along the way. You’ll be driving through the El Alto town, popular by its terrible traffic jam and chaotic crowded streets.
Just tell us when you’d like to be picked up at your address and our friendly driver will show up at your place on time. We’ll share his name the day before of the transfer.
If your hotel is located in Zona Sur Calacoto (Mitru Express, Rosario Sur, Atix, etc) there is an extra drive time of 20 minutes up to 30 minutes from downtown.
LA PAZ TO LAKE TITICACA COPACABANA
After 2 hour 30 minute drive, you’ll arrive at the Strait of Tiquina. At the Tiquina Strait, there is no bridge. You have to cross by a local engine ferry (bring Bs10 Bolivian pesos for your tickets).
From Strait of Tiquina, you’ll drive directly to Copacabana Lake Titicaca for about 1 hour. You’ll be dropped at your selected hotel in Copacabana or at the port.
