What You’ll Do
Our driver and guide will meet you at El Alto airport in La Paz and transfer you to Tiwanaku site.
On arrival you’ll have lunch at Tiwanaku restaurant. Later, get a guided tour of the museums and the archaeological sites. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel in La Paz.
Your Tour Itinerary
10:15 am – El Alto airport to Tiwanaku site car transfer
You’ll be picked up from El Alto airport in La Paz and depart to Puma Punku archaeological site on a private comfortable vehicle.
Your personal English speaking tour guide will be waiting for you at the exit gate with a sign with your name on it. Then after drive for about 1 hour 40 minutes through the chaotic streets of El Alto town, popular by its traffic jam, to Tiwanaku site.
12:45 pm – Lunch at Tiwanaku site
On arrival at the archaeological site, you’ll enjoy a tasty lunch prepared at Taypi Uta (or other similar) restaurant using local products before the guided trip.
2:00 pm – Guided tour of Tiwanaku and Puma Punku
At the end of the lunch, your guide and driver will take you to the ticketing office from where you’ll start with the guided tour of Kalasasaya temple, Underground temple, Sun Gate, Akhapana pyramid and later Puma Punku (on nthe way back to La Paz).
5:00 pm – Tiwanaku Puma Punku to La Paz
Return to La Paz by the same paved road. Our driver and guide will drop you off at your hotel in La Paz.
