Your Tour Itinerary

9:oo am – Cusco to Sacsayhuaman

You’ll ride an e-bike which is a great way to explore the Inca heritage of Cusco and surroundings.

The itinerary is super flexible to suit your group’s riding ability.

Your e-bike riding trip starts at the Main Square of Cusco (Plaza de Armas). The road climbs steeply to the Inca site of Sacsayhuaman. But thanks to the e-bike battery assist, you will fly up the hill with no effort.

Sacsayhuaman is best known for the huge monoliths which form its ramparts. These ramparts were constructed in zig-zag form, for defensive purposes. Some think they also signify lightning.

After exploring Sacsayhuaman you continue on your e-bike to Puka Pukara, which was built as a staging post for Chasquis, the Inca runners that carried messages across the kingdom.

Then you cross the road to Tambomachay, an Incan water temple complete with intricately carved stonework.

Your route back to Cusco depends upon you or your group. There are lots of options and your guide will choose a suitable one. For some, that means riding back down the road. For others that may be taking one of the steep trails enjoyed by local mountain bikers.

Lunch will be taken along the way.
