What You’ll Do
Our driver and guide will meet you at your hotel in Paz hotel and transfer you to Tiwanaku site. On arrival you’ll get a guided tour of the museums and the archaeological sites. Then after you’ll have lunch before returning to La Paz.
Your Tour Itinerary
8:30 am – La Paz to Tiwanaku site car transfer
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in La Paz and departure to Puma Punku archaeological site on a private comfortable vehicle. Our Bolivian team mate (driver and guide) will meet you at your downtown hotel and drive for about 1 hour 40 minutes through the chaotic streets of El Alto town, popular by its traffic jam.
9:45 am – Guided tour of Tiwanaku and Puma Punku
Upon arrival to Puma Punku, your English speaking tour guide provides information about its origin and what for it was built. After this visit you’ll be able to visit Kalasasaya temple, Akhapana pyramid, underground temple and museums before lunch.
12:30 pm – Lunch at Tiwanaku site
After the guided tour ends, you’ll enjoy a tasty lunch prepared at Taypi Uta (or other similar) restaurant using local products.
2:00 pm – Tiwanaku Puma Punku to La Paz
Return to La Paz by the same paved road. Our driver and guide will drop you off at your hotel in La Paz.
