What You’ll Do
Car transfer from your hotel to Sillustani site, then meet your guide, get in your kayak and paddle over the lagoon. Disembark at the peninsula for the guided tour of the funeral towers.
After exploring the tombs with a last view of the Umayu lagoon head back to Puno with a stop off at Hatuncolla farm house stop where you’ll see Alpacas, Llamas and guinea pigs.

8:00 am – Puno to Sillustani site car transfer

Your kayak adventure out of the crowded place begins with the pick-up from your hotel in Puno and a 45-minute car drive to Sillustani launch place.
Upon arrival at the Umayu lagoon shoreline, meet up with your passionate and eager guide, briefing about elemental paddling techniques and safety lessons, then get fitted in your life jacket and floatation device.
9:00 am – Kayaking at Sillustani
Set off for the Umayu lagoon, calm water surrounded by a gorgeous landscape, you’re kayaking towards the Umayu Island popular by its Vicugna, Vizcachas, Chinchillas and its intriguing shape.
The estimated round-trip paddling is 2 hours, after this exciting kayak adventure through unique landscapes and Inca towers view from the lagoon, you disembark on the Sillustani peninsula ground.
11:00 am – Exploring the Incan Funeral Towers
Your first impression “how the Inca would have built these astonishing Towers? And more importantly what was built for?”
Your guide leads you throughout the tombs, and takes his time to explain you everything related to the Incan Burial Towers and the especial belief in the afterlife.

Finally, get back to the same initial point by Kayaks. On the way back to Puno city, you’ll stop off at a local farm house for Alpacas and Llama pictures which takes a few minutes.
