Sun Island Homestay Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Copacabana to Isla del Sol
9:00 am your guide is going to meet you at your hotel in Copacabana then walk down to the port.
9:40 am at Copacabana harbor, you’ll meet up with your boatman, who is taking you across the Lake.
While navigating your guide will have you well informed about Lake Titicaca facts and history of pre Columbian cultures.

11:20 am arrival time at Pilcocaina port and near is located Illimani Lodge where you’ll stay the night, have lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day.
1:30 pm your friendly guide will take you the archaeological site for a walk and guided visit. Enjoy with plenty of time the beautiful of the landscape and tradition of the birthplace of the Inca.
7:00 pm you’ll have dinner and explanation about the art textile and customs.
Day 2: Isla del Sol to Isla de La Luna
7:30 am breakfast at Illimani lodge.
8:30 am your boat will be ready to head to Isla de la Luna, you’ll be accompanied with your guide and navigate for one hour and 20 minutes.
9:50 am upon arrival to Isla de la Luna, you’ll follow an steep and short trail until you reach to the first Inca building. You’ll learn about Tiwanaku Civilization and the purpose of the Island.
You’ll enjoy views of the snow peaks in the eastern side of Lake Titicaca and the highest peaks in Bolivia.
Why don’t you visit Moon Island on a day trip? On Moon Island Day Trip from Copacabana you’ll traverse to Isla de la Luna from Copacabana, then after head to Isla del Sol. Finally after a well-deserved lunch you’ll go back to Copacabana.
11:15 am then after your Moon Island guided tour, you’ll walk down to the port and head back to Copacabana.
