What You’ll Do
Day 1: Car transfer from your hotel to Chimu kayak dock, get in your kayak and paddle to Uros Islands for the guided tour then head to Taquile by boat. Have a homemade lunch. Overnight.
Day 2: After early breakfast kayak from Taquile to Amantani, hike, have lunch at a local house and learn about their art textiles. Then return to Puno by boat.

Day 1: Puno to Taquile
8:00 am Kayaking from South Puno to Uros Islands

Our friendly driver takes you from your hotel to the Chimu kayak launch point on a 20-minute car ride.
Your passionate kayak guide waits for you with the proper kayak gear and equipment at the secluded shoreline of Lake Titicaca.
You’ll start kayaking on clean water and enjoy the view of the surrounding maze of reeds, Mountains and local birds.
After one hour, you’ll arrive and disembark at the Lake Titicaca’s premier attraction, the floating Islands of the Uros people.
Your guide provides a natural and cultural history interpretation of the floating islanders’ innovation that begins with the Islands’ most basic and vital components: the Totora roots and reeds.
Take your time to interact with the locals, if you’d like to contribute the local friendly and welcoming family then you could purchase their bright, colored designed handicrafts and reed souvenirs or ride a typical reed craft.
10:30 am Uros to Taquile boating
Then after, you’re heading to Taquile Island shoreline by a covered motorboat. This will be a direct boat navigation of 2 hours 30 minutes through the open view of the Lake.
Upon arrival, you’ll hike up to the local family house for about 35 minutes. The family provides lunch. The set menu is based on Quinua soup, grilled Trout or vegetable omelet with white rice and hot drinks.
4:00 pm Kayak at the sunset or hike up the lookout
The late afternoon would be the ideal time to hike up the lookout or just decide to paddle again at Taquile Island at its most mesmerizing time the sunset. Do not miss this stunning experience.
7:30 pm Dinner and overnight
Dinner will be provided by the local host family. Overnight.

Day 2: Taquile to Amantani to Puno
8:00 am – Kayaking from Taquile to Amantani Island

After an early breakfast, descend to the Lake shoreline from where you’ll get fitted in your floatation device and venture on the kayak paddling towards Amantani Island.
This is a unique and exciting activity hitting the blue horizon with Mountain views.
You’ll kayak for about 2 hours up to 2 hours 30 minutes on a slow pace.
11:00 am – Hiking Amantani Island

You’ll disembark at the North tip of Amantani Island and start walking up to Henry and Mariluz house through a stone paved trail with such great views of the Lake, Bolivian Sun Island and snow peak Mountains across the blue Lake.
Along the way get explained by your guide about the history, tradition and legacy of Amantani Island throughout the time.
After a 25 minute walking you’ll arrive at the local house where you’ll have lunch based on Quinoa soup, grilled Trout or chicken with white rice and salad, and hot Coca/Muña tea.
Later, your guide will lead you down through the stone trail and gain scenic views of the surrounding landscape and Mountains. You’ll onboard again the motorized boat and head directly to Puno port on a 2 hour 45 minute of navigation. Or decide to kayak from Uros to Puno Isla Esteves from here you’ll be pick up by your driver.
Your 2 day kayak tour in Lake Titicaca ends at Puno port. You’ll be picked up by your driver and transferred to your hotel on a 10-minute car ride.
