What You’ll Do
You’ll be picked up at your hotel in Puno or bus station and transferred to Puno port on a private vehicle.
Onboard the private boat and head to Uros Islands for a unique encounter with the locals and learn from them about their unique way of life.
Your Tour Itinerary
3:30 pm – Hotel to Puno port

You’ll be collected from your hotel in Puno city and transferred to Puno port on a 15-minute drive.
3:45 pm – Puno port to Uros Islands
Climb aboard the engine boat and begin your voyage to the 30 min away journey to Floating Islands, in which you can absorb the tranquility and stillness of the magnificent Lake Titicaca, only disrupted by the passing of another vessel.
As you approach your destination, take note of the large, grass-like reeds growing by the wayside, which are famously used in the construction of the islands you’re about to visit.
Practice your Aymara greetings with your guide, and get ready to meet the Uros people, who are eagerly waiting to receive you.
4:15 pm – Guided Tour of Uros Islands
On arrival, you’ll be helped down onto dry reed land, and shown around one of the islands. Meet the local inhabitants, see the way they live, and learn from your guide just how vital the Totora reed is for this community.
You’ll be given the opportunity to ride on a traditional reed boat (at an additional cost), and experience this unique form of transport normally used by the island dwellers.

5:30 pm – Uros to Puno port
Time to return by the same boat to Puno city
