First day in the morning you’ll get a private guided boat tour to Uros Islands by a covered section boat. You're visiting the less crowded side of Uros, where no one will force you to buy souvenirs. But we'll have lunch in the North side of Uros.
In the afternoon we're driving to Aramu Muru doorway, where the Andean shaman will do a ritual or Despacho.
Next day you’ll be picked up and then transferred to Desaguadero border.
On arrival to Desaguadero frontier you’ll meet your Bolivian driver, then go to La Paz with an optional stop for lunch at Tiwanaku.
What you’ll do (Tour Description)
DAY 1: Puno, Southern Uros Tour, lunch, Aramu Muru Offering, Puno
8:45 am the guide and driver pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to port.
On arrival we onboard the boat and go to Southern Utos islands, almost no tourist go there, it is a secluded and remote place, perfect for doing some local activities like fishing and cutting reeds. The purpose of this visit is be part or do what they do for building the reed floating islands.
Get a glimpse of the Andean Way of life in Amantani Island by staying with locals and doing what they do day by day.
11:00 am at this time we'll be ready to head to the Northern side of Uros, where most of the reed lodges are located. We'll go there for lunch.
1.00 pm we'll arrive to Puno port, precisely the driver and the Shaman will pick up us and then drive to Aramu Muru doorway, the drive is 1h 25min. On arrival you are part of this Andean tradition of making offering to the Mother Nature or Pacha Mama.
Some 1h 30min seems great for even hiking the scenic rocky landscape.
The Shaman will construct an offering bundle of gratitude or the Despacho, and then it will be dedicated or given to Pachamama (the Mother Earth), Qotamama (the Mother Lake), the sacred Apus (the God Mountains) for healing, manifestation and gratitude of our deepest desires and for living harmoniously with the Nature.
But before closing the Despacho, you will place your intentions into a sacred coca leaf and pass it on to the Andean Shaman or Yatiri to add to the Despacho.
4:30 pm after this unique experience and meditation time we'll get back to Puno city. If time permits we're visiting the temple of fertility on the way back to Puno city.
Day 2: Puno, Desaguadero, La Paz Transfer
7.30 am suggested time for departing towards Desaguadero borderline from Puno city.
Along the way you might want to stop for the last picture over Lake Titicaca at the lookout of Pomata, appreciate in the distance the Sun Island and the Snowy Mountains in Bolivia.
10:00 am meet our Bolivian counterpart; our driver will help you cross the border of Peru and Bolivia. This process could take some 15 to 35 min. After this “held hand” crossing you start the drive to La Paz, which is about 2h 30min approx.
As an optional chance you can have lunch at the site of Tiwanaku because is located on the way to La Paz from Desaguadero. The driver is happy to stop.
Later, when approaching La Paz city you can stop and take a panoramic picture of the city surrounded by the Snow Mountains.
Drop-off by your downtown hotel or if it is located in southern La Paz then some 20min extra to get.
